President Trump Appoints Sheehy to USNA Board of Visitors

U.S. SENATE – U.S. Senator Tim Sheehy (R – Mont.) issued the following statement after being appointed to the United States Naval Academy Board of Visitors by President Donald J. Trump:

“This is a great honor, thank you President Trump! I stand ready to deliver and lead with the highest ideals of duty, honor, and loyalty. Together we will make America strong again!”

The duty of the Academy’s Board of Visitors is to inquire into the state of morale and discipline, the curriculum, instruction, physical equipment, fiscal affairs, academic methods, and other matters relating to the academy which the Board decides to consider.

A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy class of 2008 with a B.S. in History, Senator Sheehy completed several deployments and hundreds of missions as a US Navy SEAL Officer and Team Leader, deploying to Iraq, Afghanistan, South America, and the Pacific region. He was involved in dozens of engagements with enemy forces, earning him multiple combat decorations, including the Bronze Star with Valor for Heroism in Combat and the Purple Heart Medal. Senator Sheehy met his wife, Carmen, who served as a U.S. Marine Corps Officer, at the Naval Academy.
